In 1955 Dwight D. Eisenhower or "Ike" a Republican was our 34th President. Eisenhower was probably the first President that you could call a golf fanatic. He spent his summers golfing in The Hampton's or at Augusta National. It is only fitting that we dedicate a trophy to a President that was so influential to our game. In 1955 Jack Fleck won the US Open at the Olympic Club, Doug Ford won the PGA at Meadowbrook Country Club and Peter Thomson won the British Open at St. Andrews Links. The United States won the Ryder Cup 8/4 held at The Thunderbird Country Club in Rancho Mirage California.
This cup is not suitable for applying a logo but can be patina-ed with some very unique colors. Pictured you will see it in the gold-flash and silver nitrate patina.
