1962 The Palmer Cup

   No trophy package would be complete without a Palmer Cup. The man responsible for so many of us in the 60's and 70's taking up the game of golf. This trophy is a tribute to Palmer; my Mother's favorite golfer as well as a tribute to my Mother. My Mother was a professional cake decorator and I cannot tell you how many roses I saw her make for wedding cakes. I utilized that knowledge when I designed and created the rosebud trophy. In 1962 John Fitzgerald Kennedy; "JFK" a democrat was President of the United States. Jack Nicklaus at Oakmont Country Club won the US Open. This was Nicklaus's first US Open Championship. Two other great golfers of the times were also Champions that year; Gary Player at Aronimink Golf Club the PGA Champion and Arnold won the British Open that year.
In 1963 the United States won the Ryder Cup 23/9. Arnold Palmer was the Captain and the competition was held at East Lake Country Club in Atlanta Georgia.
This trophy is available in one size;

9 ½" tall at $450

The rosebud on the top is a fitting award piece.
